Sirensong curled more into her nest the evening scent of dew and fresh ocean spray drifting into her den. Her eyes scrunched up as pure sunshine streamed into the she-cat's dim den. Her fluffy brown tail curled over her face as she concentrated on getting some rest. She knew she was told to be leader of a patrol soon Sirensong planned to get as much sleep as she could. Unfortunately the persistent sunlight and fresh breeze chilled and blinded as she tried to get a bit more shut eye.
The she-cat let out an annoyed hiss as she stood up, her eyes blinking away anything that had caught over her face. Small dew clung to her fur as she licked any stray feathers from her pelt, the small tabby cleansed herself of anything that might dirty her fur, preparing for the rest of her long day. She then stood tall weaving around any sleeping bodies, accidentally stepping on a tail as she did so. Some cat hissed at her as she quietly muttered a quick 'sorry'
Sirensong bursted into the bright sunlight, her eyes blinking several times to adjust to the beaming warmth. A heavy sigh crawled up her throat as she curled around to pad into the middle of Tidalclan camp, her fur lying completely flat as she pressed forward.

"No...NO!!!" a screech broke the deadly silence of the misty day. Another scream, equally or even more terrified, accompanied his shrill sound. "BROTHER!" the kit wailed, racing into the swirling murk after his struggling brother. Pondkit kits fur was wet and clump with mud and blood as a writhing fish dragged him deeper into the current which he wouldn't even get out of. His small white and black tipped claws caught the fish's face, but the fish refused to give up his prey. With one final yowl of terror, the fish struggled down and pulled the kit with it. For moments, bubbles popped on the surface of the pool till they stopped and blood rose to the surface. "No!" was the last sound before the kit fell over and sank into unconsciousness.
"Ahh..ah." a young brown tom gasped, eyes shooting open as the terrible dream ended. His heart was thumping rapidly and he realized he was breathing heavily. It was that dream again. Closing startling light green eyes, the tom let out a shaky laugh and sighed, "It didn't really happen again, there's nothing to worry about, Greenpaw, calm yourself..."With a final heavy breath, the tom forced himself to shaky paws and shook clumps of moss out of his soft fur. He quickly stretched, back arched and claws extended, before trotting out of the apprentices den. His eyes darted towards the fresh kill pile as soon as he exited the den and he felt his stomach rumble. Licking his muzzle, the tom padded to the pile invitingly, but then remembered that apprentices were not allowed to eat yet. Heaving a great sigh, he looked about till his green eyes came upon a she-cat; yet she wasn't just any she-cat, that was his mentor.
The tom obediently ran over and stood in front of the pretty she-cat, a smile on his muzzle. "Good morning, Sirensong." he said politely, his curled in ears twitching as he thought a delicious thought about sinking his teeth into his, maybe, first caught fish. He licked his muzzle again, eyes unfocused. "Oh fish, you will come to me soon." he murmured under his breath before remembering he had to catch it first and returning his attention to Sirensong.

This was common for her. Her mind to wander as she sat down. Her ears pricked as she listened to her now arising Clanmates. Soft mews came in greeting around her as she finally took in everything. A purr softened her throat as she surveyed the camp. The deputy just beginng to set up patrols. She stood up prepared to offer a spot on a hunting run when something popped infront of her.
A smile lite her face as she saw her newest and first apprentice, Greenpaw. Sirensong smiled gently, her ears pricking forward as a soft breeze blew against her short brown tabby fur. "Good Morning Greenpaw. I see your Bright and early today." She said quite amused. Glancing sideways at the apprentice den which seemed to be still quiet even with all the bustling cats around it. She looked back down at her apprentice hearing him mumble some words. She guess he was eager to train so Sirensong pipped up with a grin. "Perhaps we should try and Hunt today? How does that sound?" sh asked curiously finally able to decided what to do with her day, unlike her own apprenticeship.

A grin on his muzzle, the tom nodded, "Hunting sounds good." The same breeze stirred his fur, ruffing it like waves. He suddenly became aware of voices and murmurs around him; the others must have been waking up.
Though, inside him, a thought was nagging him. What if he freaked out. What if he fell in the water? What if he drowned? Shivering slightly, the tom turned his green gaze to the ground and then nodded, "Ready, if you are." smiling with excitement, yet you could see the worry dancing in his eyes. (Sorry for the short post, I couldn't think of what else to post. xD)

( It's Alright XD ) Sirensong looked down at the younger cat. Her smile never wavering as she waved her long tail to his flank. "Don't worry you'll do fine. Come on Let's go. I can maybe show you around the territory while we at it? How's that sound?" She said with a grin, whisking past her apprentice to pad towards the camp entrance. Sirensong's memories of her apprenticeship flooded back towards her. Of how she constantly always over worked herself, the multiple times of going to the medicine cat den because she trained to hard. She closed her eyes as she padded slowly forward, the images of her past seeming to put some guilt into her heart. Never had she ever thought that trying to make her father proud would send her into so much pain. She inhaled Occasional sea breeze as it started cooling her fur. her tail waving back and forth encouraging the young tom to follow.

He dipped his head, meowing, "That sounds fine, Sirensong." respect in his voice. As they carried on towards their hunting location, he noticed his heart beat growing faster and his breath coming more quickly. What happened if he fell in? What if he drowns? What if his mentor drowned? A shudder ran along his small frame, his muscles twitching with nervousness. Despite the cool breeze ruffling his fur, he could feel beads of nervous sweat clumping in his fur. Like water dragging him down. He let out a shaky breath, 'Focus, focus!' he yelled in his mind, looking back up at Sirensong, eyes scared yet calm.
A salty breeze ruffled the fur on his head as they approached. He was still nervous, but he had distracted himself by taking in the sceneries. Suddenly, he stopped, staring down at his paws. There sat a glistening sea shell, yellow with darker tones. He prodded it with his paw before a small blue crab emerged and scuttled away. The tom watched it with high curiosity, eyes wide like kits. The tom then returned his focus to Sirensong and padded after her.

As the young warrior padded farther into the territory she could partically feel the distinct scent of fear and nervousness waft off her apprentice. She glanced at him sideways, her tail swaying back and forth in it's own steady beat. She smiled at him as he seemed to regain his senses once again. She lead him to the shore, small creatures such as crab and small sand lizards scuttled around. She turned her thin muzzle towards they sky as she watched gulls caw above.
Sirensong then turned towards her apprentice once more, standing straight yet with a smile. She always knew how to act around younger cats that were nervous. She inhaled the deep fresh smell of the ocean as she whisked her tail towards it, the water lapping quietly behind her just a few tail lengths away. She raised her head and mewed confidently. "<b>We'll first teach you how to properly swim. If that's alright with you?</b>" She said with a tilted head, knowing all to well how nervous a freshly made apprentice can be around the ocean, the one factor that made Tidalclan unique.
