[I'll be making Swifty a posting table soon, but for now no awesomeness ;o;]
The sun was on the edge of the horizon as Swiftstar opened his blue and amber eyes. He looked outside of the Beach Cave and observed the sun moving a slow trip up into the sky. After a moments he eventually stepped out of his nest and into the center of the cave. His clan was busy once more, his deputy was sorting out patrols and the assigned cats nodded, grouped up and headed out for their day's job. The rusty coloured leader exchanged quick eye contacted with Sharkbite before heading towards the edge of the cave's sea-entrance.
The tranquil seas soothed his mind. It let him think. Nothing terrible had happened since before Frozenstar, the previous leader of TidalClan, lead this clan. So Swiftstar hadn't worry about anything. But his mind is soothed from the terrible happenings of his past. He closed his dual coloured eyes tightly, and then opened them again, his expression more softer as he gazed out into the calm ocean waters.

He stood next to a fellow apprentice, eyes wide and a grin across his face as he saw the deputy grouping cats for the patrols for the morning; he wanted to be a part of one. Though, he knew his turn would have to wait because he had been on almost every patrol yesterday, a hunting patrol in the morning with a border patrol in the evening, the large tom wanted to prove that he was ready for his final assessment that was coming up in a moon or two, he was to excited to keep track of how many days it was but he knew it was soon. He sighed as the last spots where taken, he was not picked for patrols but later he and his fellow apprentice would have to change the bedding of the apprentices while the other apprentice that was still in camp had to go with the Medicine Cat to gather herbs because Kindlestep was without one.
Frostpaw was about to start when he saw his leader, Swiftstar, looking out onto the water. He could just barely the leaders’ eyes, so he couldn’t see what the tom was staring at. He approached the orange tabby, “Hello Swiftstar,” he said, a bit quietly. The half blind cat hadn’t really talked to his leader in the moons that he stayed in TidalClan, only a few times including his ceremony when he came from his old home back at the twolegplace. The grey tom stopped a tail length away, waiting to see in the leader was willing to talk. [ Don’t worry, I’m still working on my PT too x3 ]

Swiftstar looked over his shoulder to spot the gray apprentice, Frostpaw, approaching him. He smiled and then nodded. "Good morning, Frostpaw. How is your training coming along?" He asked. He had always been interested about this particular tom's training. The blind eye would make fighting difficult. So he intrusted the young tom to Shadethorn, who was great with figuring out interesting fighting moves. Hopefully she will come up with one that will turn the tables and put Frostpaw at an advantage instead.
While he waited for the apprentice to answer he studied the gray and white pelt. It suited the toms name, frost. The white apon gray looks like snow that had gently fallen from th sky, and landed on him. Such an interesting fur design, The ginger leader always told himself when he spotted the gray and white apprentice.

Frostpaw dipped his head to the older tom, “My apprenticeship has been going along great!” he meowed excitedly, seeing that his leader was taking interest of the old strays training. Shadethorn had taught him a lot; how to use the water to his advantage, how to unbalance even the smallest of cats since his size, and also how to use his ears more than his eye to keep his one blind eye from being a disadvantage. He hated being blind in one eye, having a weak spot, as his father put it. He had to live being half blind all his life, getting picked on by cats that could see just fine, he always envied those who had perfect vision; now no one made fun of him here, the older cats think of it as just an obstacle that could be quickly cleared away and he liked that feeling that he wasn’t different.
He turned back to his leader, noticing that his gaze was to the sky in his moment of thought. He didn’t fully answer the question that Swiftstar asked, “Shadethorn has been an amazing mentor, just yesterday she said I mastered a move quicker than she had!” he felt proud of himself for that, fighting wasn’t to his advantage, he was tall but not the strongest. But the one moment, where his used his lanky legs to jump over her then landed and quickly spun around to pin his mentor to the ground, he felt so much pride. He had been good at all the defense moves his mentor taught him, dodging attacks and even jumping on enemies, those moves only took him a day or two to learn and finish. But every time they tried a offensive move it took him the rest of the week, trying to muscle up the strength to get power into the swipes or hurling himself. Then he snapped his head again, “How’s being a leader treating you?” he said closing his eyes and grinning awkwardly.

Swiftstar smiled at the apprentice's enthusiasm. It seems as though Shadethorn was the perfect choice for the young tom. the rusty coloured leader was grateful that he had chosen the dark coloured warrior to train Frostpaw. He did have his doubts, since the she-cat wasn't as experienced as some cats like himself and Sharkbite. But it teaching such a unique cat would make her trianing strategies all the more interesting and make her into a brilliant mentor. Then, who knows. Maybe if another half-blind cat comes into TidalClan, Frostpaw and Shadethorn could teach them the skills they learned themselves.
Then, the TidalClan leader's thoughts stopped in their tracks as the apprentice asked him a very unusual question. Something he had never been asked before. How was his leadership going? Well, the clan didnt seem to be in a crisis. There hadnt been a border dispute or major battle since before Frozenstar's leadership. Which, in a sense was a good thing. But it also seemed a bit fishy. Was RaggedClan planning something? Did AspenClan come up with a way of taking TidalClan's prey without the beach-side clan noticing? But without showing his concerns to Frostpaw, he looked at the apprentice brightly and answered, "Its been going swimmingly, thank you."

The lanky tom smiled; swimmingly, it was kind of a pun if he had to say so himself. But he let out a snort of amusement thinking of how silly he was to think that was funny. But he refocused, before his leading when said a word he could tell for just a split second that Swiftstar wasn’t 100% sure about his answer. Was there something wrong? Something that the tom didn’t pick up yesterday on his border patrol? Or was it a sign from StarClan to Kindlestep that he told Swiftstar that the leader didn’t want to worry the Clan? He might be half-blind, but he could see just perfectly. He looked at the leader, more intensely, to see if he could catch anything else. Nothing, “Are you sure? Nothing going on with the other clans?” Frostpaw hated his nosey nature, wanting to know everything that was going on at that place and time. He had always tried to keep it calm, but sometimes he accidently let the questions slip. He didn’t want to anger Swiftstar, especially since they never talked and the grey tom would probably be to scared to say anything to apologize. He hoped it was just an innocent question, something that the rusty tom would just brush off and they would stand in awkward silence for what would seem like forever.

A soft breeze blew past Sirensong as she pushed into the camp. The rest of her hunting patrol separating from each other to do their own duties. She hadn't caught much, just a small fish and a crab. The small shelled creature felt odd in her mouth. She hadn't thought she would be eating these odd creatures but prey was prey, so Sirensong brought it quietly into camp. Her eyes trailed around as she watched her fellow clanmate's swarm around. That very thought reminded her of a busy Bee Hive. A small chuckle grazed her throat as she padded forward, the image of all her clanmates as Bees seemed to amuse her greatly.
The she-cat turned gently setting the prey into it's respected pile. Her eyes glancing around as she surveyed the camp once again. Her eyes rested on Swiftstar and Frostpaw. The two seemed to be having a nice conversation. She smiled to herself, her long brown tail wrapping around her paws as she settled down. Several hunting patrols and Remarking of borders left the she-cat quite drained. Even for her spite to keep going, prove she wasn't some half clan cat anyone could mess with, she could barely stand. Her ears stood erect as she focused on her own thoughts once again, of her disappointed father and her mysterious mother. She sighed again, her thoughts drifting towards the sky. Enjoying her few moments of rest.
